So, what’s a good way to find high PR blog posts?

First of all, download SeoQuake, which is a free plugin.  SeoQuake plugins are available for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari.  Install the plugin for your browser.

SeoQuake will display the Page Rank of each site in search results from Google.

Next, go to Google search settings, click advanced, choose 100 search results and then enter a search like the following:

“your keyword phrase” +blog +”leave a comment”
(use the inverted commas)

Once the page has loaded and SEOQuake has found the PR for each result, you can order it in ascending or descending order.

Sort by Page Rank

You should now have the highest PR blog posts at the top.

As always, make sure to leave thoughtful, original comments.

It will work for top level domains and subdomains, but not for deep links. So, if you have a website, feel free to submit it.

Low quality backlinks from blog comments, directories, or forum signatures are of minimal value, as far as linkjuice is concerned.

What to do….?

You could build your own simple and free web sites, with related content, then link to your main, money-making site(s).  Every so often, update these sites with new content, to keep them fresh and relevant, but otherwise you can leave them alone.

Some of these sites are revenue sharing or allow your Amazon and other affiliate links as well.

Google Sites - Nice potential.  Simple templates from which to choose  or you can design your own layout.  The annoying part is the “Add This” code that seems to spawn like crazy when you edit the content.

Weebly – Features a drag & drop website editor.  It has over 70 professional designs to choose from or you can design your own.  Weebly was named one of TIME’s 50 Best Websites of the year in 2007 and they’ve since made their service even more powerful, while keeping it simple.

So, without further ado, here is the most up-to-date listing of do follow RSS directories and feed submission sites.  I have checked each one for nofollow, “do not index”, and javascript redirects (which the Google bot can crawl, but may not be good for link juice!).

Some links in these directories are redirected via javascript.  However, if I say Yes, then there is a link to the RSS feed that is not a redirect.  It could be one of those apples and oranges kind of things.

CommentLuv, which is a WordPress and Drupal plugin that allows you to comment and then have your most recent blog post or RSS feed post to be included at the bottom of your comment.  To have this work, just type in your URL into the appropriate URL or URI field.  Once the comment is accepted then you would see a link.

This works very well for any web page, blog, and other sites, such as Squidoo.

The other is a Widget for WordPress blogs that is called Top Commenter.  It allows the blogger to display the most prolific commenters on the blog, over a period of time, often a month.  In the case of my blog, Top Commenter is only on the front page, so the link value is not diluted throughout the site.

Both can be set by the blogger to be dofollow (meaning your link will include the linkjuice from the search engines), which includes this blog as well.

Don’t Spam!

The important thing here is to not abuse these sites.  Spamming hurts everyone and if a blogger finds too many spammers coming from a certain region of the world easily can block an entire IP range.  Also, both of these widgets/plugins allow the blogger to block certain people automatically.

In addition, the spam-blocking plugging known as Akismet and the process of manually authorizing each blog post will eliminate any post deemed as spam.  The important part when posting on blogs using either or both is realizing that its simply not worth taking the time to spam, as your comments will assuredly not be allowed.
