A Review of Free Manual Traffic Exchanges

There are quite a number of traffic exchange sites, but I am going to review three of the top ones.

TrafficG

The first one is TrafficG.  It is not the largest or most popular, but  the layout is immediately easy to understand.   Unlike so many sites out there this one does not try to confuse you into clicking on something else.

The main page shows you your current credits (how many you have earned), the sites in which the credits can be distributed, and the Start Surfing button.

The Start Surfing is also available on the left side of the screen, along the menu.  Each page you visit uses a Captcha in the upper left corner, in order to deter automation.  You simply click on one of the three Captcha choices that you see.  Currently it is set to 20 seconds minimum between sites.

Features include:

  1. Very simple site navigation and layout
  2. One “splash page”
  3. An excellent referral program, including contests
  4. Many banners to use for referrals
  5. A simple to use toolbar
  6. 20 second timer

EasyHits4U

EasyHits4U is the most popular traffic exchange around.  It has existed since 2003.  The layout is pretty easy to follow, with a menu bar at the top of the site.

Popular 1:1 Traffic Exchange

Features include:

  1. Earn real money or credits toward more traffic
  2. Includes a directory to add your site
  3. Includes many prebuilt splash pages
  4. Option to create your own splash pages
  5. A site rotator to help you to manage, host, and track your sites
  6. 20 second timer

StartXchange

StartXchange looks like it will catch up to others because of the founder very aggressively comping up with creative ways of gaining visitors and members.  He also hosts a very popular traffic exchange directory, which certainly helps.  It is the oldest, having been created in 2001.   Many of the traffic exchange sites out there are using a script written by the founder, Tim Linden.  He created the first version of StartXchange when he was 15 years old.  If you’re looking for an innovative traffic exchange then this is it.  They set the standard.

StartXchange manual traffic exchangeFeatures include:

  1. Chat option
  2. Contests and prizes
  3. Ability to join various teams of people competing for prizes
  4. An active forum
  5. A very good referral program
  6. Easy to understand layout and navigation
  7. 10 second timer

  1. I have tried these manual traffic exchanges some time ago. It is true that it is possible to get some profit this way. If you decide to spend some time with them you should concentrate on the money making niche because most of the users use these programs to promote money making opportunities so it is a good chance that they will be interested in other money making opportunities too.

  2. I will check these out today. Been looking for some new ways to generate traffic to my site. But I’m not an affiliate or anything so I don’t know how effective they will be for me.

I’ll give it a go though and let you know. :D

  3. You know, I love the idea of making money online, being able to stay in my jammies on cold mornings. Being able to be with my family, but until recently I didn’t really believe the common person could make much online.

That’s because the average person doesn’t have the kind of deep knowledge to be able to sell something of worth once people visit their blogs. With the deep knowledge, product or service, something that 100,000 other people aren’t also trying to sell, there is going to be an empty register.

    Enter my sister, Sherry.

My sister came across a great money earner last year, and now her blogging efforts for the first time are fruitful.

She made $61,000 working as an online recruiter for Linda Christas Academy/College.

They pay her $500 for every student who enrolls in a program and $1,000 stipend if the student enrolls in an entire curriculum.

Both franchise fees and training fees have been eliminated now that Linda Christas can afford to provide those services to recruiters for free.

The College doesn’t recruit recruiters. Their attitude is if a person is not a sufficient self starter to contact them, they won’t contact others online either.

All my sister Sherry did was contact them. They wanted to see her blog, and her writing style. After all, they are a college and can’t be having someone who is out of control or who can’t write represent them.

But, after that, she was accepted and thinks she is in online heaven, since she can actually make a good living from home now.

Might be something someone here would like to try.

    First step, contact the College.

  4. It seems like the return on the effort spent on these sites would be minimal, at best. The vast majority of people won’t be paying attention to the sites they are looking at. Maybe time would be better spent on other SEO activities to generate sustainable traffic?

  5. Per Affiliate’s comment, what is the use of advertising affiliate products to a pool of affiliate marketers?

    Marketers need TARGETED traffic!

  6. With the way the economy is going nowdays I think everyone will benifit from these money making sites.
There is no such thing as free money tho so each and every 1 you do does require some work on your part but there is money to be had non the less.

Heck I have been doing online paid surveys for the past 2 years to make me some extra cash. Great article great reviews thanks a ton I shall give them a try.

  7. Thanks for the information

I wish more of the shares

    I Love action and documentary.

  11. Fantastic blog you have here. It was great to see this article and realize that both of the exchanges that I belong to are in your top 3. I have been using Traffic G and EasyHits4U for a couple of months now and I agree that they are indeed the best. I haven’t tried StartXChange but maybe I’ll check it out. I think belonging to two is enough for now. Great article.

  12. Hey, great to find out about this , this is just a big up and big hug from SEO Girl have a blast looking forward to seeing more of your blogs and being enlightened. Thanks again

  13. I’m using SEO to get traffic for my site :D

  14. I really like to do this but I think for this I need to make first all plans and try to understand first .. hope i can do this..

  15. I’ve join trafficG. It’s useful to increase my traffic. I will join the another that you post in this blog. Thanks

  16. I am in turn not sure if these kind of systems work well. It remind me of link exchange systems which are not recommended by most webmasters. And another thing – probably users directed in this way are not good users – and the traffic’s conversion is rather poor.

  17. I prefer easyhis4u to traffic g. I also use swattraffic.

  18. I’ve used a wide array of traffic exchanges in the past and I find that they work well as long as you use them correctly. I think the key is that you have to use a splash page otherwise you just wont receive the type of views that you need.

The other thing that I’d avoid would be using traffic exchanges to promote a website or blog. It just doesn’t work and you lose touch of how many search engine visitors you are getting.

If you want to learn more about traffic exchanges then I have a Traffic Exchange Guide.

Nice post and some reputable traffic exchanges,

    Matty
