This is not the first time that Google has attempted to. introduce social network services like Knol, Picasa and Orkut but they never got close to Facebook and twitter till now.

Truthfully, I have not used Knol too much yet, but it looks pretty promising.

Google Knol is definitely nice… but I dont think it will ever replace wikipedia
